Senior Pastor - Rev. Dustin Mace
Dustin has been the senior pastor at Buffalo since January 2020. He received a Master of Divinity in Advanced Biblical Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012 and a BA in music from Brevard College in 2003. At Southeastern, Dustin studied Biblical Hebrew extensively and received the R.T. Daniel Old Testament Award. He also has contributed articles on pastoral ministry and theology for www.justministry.org and www.servantsofgrace.org. Dustin is married to the love of his life, Shannon, and together they have two children: Noah and Abigail. Dustin’s ministry passions are discipleship, pastoral care, and preaching sermons that explain the Bible and engage people of all ages. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, running, and spending time with his family.

Associate Pastor of Youth and Children - Rev. Shawn Hendricksen
Shawn Hendricksen has been the Associate Pastor of Youth and Children at Buffalo since October of 2021. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Champion Christian College in 2011 and is planning to further his education soon. Shawn has worked with children and teens for over 11 years in multiple facets; Pastor, school teacher, coach, and childcare worker. Shawn believes the that the church is God’s plan A for spreading the kingdom of God to our city, state, nation, and around the world. Shawn has been happily married since 2014 to his best friend, Natalie Hendricksen and they have 3 children; Gabriella (6), Titus (4), and Samuel (6 months). Shawn is a sports enthusiast and enjoys doing things with people. His favorite teams are all Chicago sports related; Chicago Cubs (baseball), Chicago Bears (football), and Chicago Bulls (basketball).

Choir Director - Natalie Hendricksen
Natalie Hendricksen has been leading the choir at Buffalo since the fall of 2022. She received her MS in Music Education in 2011 and her BS in Music Education in 2009 from Pensacola Christian College. Natalie has been involved in church music worship for over 10 years. She also loves teaching music, and has been teaching for over 15 years in multiple facets, including: private and group piano lessons, children and youth choirs, as well as high school and collegiate courses in music theory and music appreciation. Natalie believes that music plays an essential part in your worship and devotion to God. Natalie is married to Shawn Hendricksen and they have three children: Gabriella, Titus, and Samuel. Natalie loves spending time with her family. Outside of family time, you can usually find her sipping a cup of coffee while reading a book, shopping at the local stores or doing a Disney puzzle.

Worship Leader - Brandon Shull
Brandon became the Interim Worship Leader in November 2020. Music has always played a big part in his life. He has played in a number of praise groups and bands in a variety of different genres of music. He plays a wide variety of instruments including the guitar, piano, mandolin, cello, viola, and violin. He is currently working as a Behavior Intervention Specialist at Tryon Elementary School in Bessemer City. He also coaches tennis and wrestling at Cherryville High and John Chavis Middle. He married Courtney in July 2020. They enjoy fishing, watching Nascar races and taking trips to the mountains. For questions concerning our Music program please contact Brandon.
